We started in cameras. We ended up on roofs.

Our story starts with a camera shop. CameraLK was founded by Anushka Gunasinghe as a small pre-order camera business and opened its first showroom near Nugegoda in 2011. Over the years it grew into one of Sri Lanka's best-known camera retailers — an official Sony distributor with showrooms across the island, a large camera service centre and a photography academy.

In 2022, as Sri Lanka faced a serious energy crisis, we launched CameraLK Technologies as a subsidiary of CameraLK, with one clear goal: to help households and businesses take control of their energy through solar power. We brought the same commitment to genuine products and dependable after-sales service that customers had trusted for over a decade.

From the start, we believed the industry needed more than panels and inverters — it needed skilled people. Working with the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) and the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA), we have helped train and qualify more than 4,000 solar technicians, strengthening the whole industry, not just our own team.

Today we design, supply, install and maintain residential, commercial and industrial solar systems across the island, using equipment from world-class brands including Huawei, GoodWe, Hoymiles, Sungrow, Deye, Solis, FoxESS, Growatt, LV Topsun, Jinko, JA Solar, LONGi and Trina.
