Zero Export keeps every unit for yourself with a battery; Net Plus sells every unit to the grid.

ROOF TYPE

Roof type changes the mounting cost, not the generation.

DAYTIME / NIGHT-TIME USAGE

About 140.8 kWh a month (4.7 kWh a night) is used after dark — 2 × 5 kWh battery (10 kWh) carries it.

MONTH BY MONTH

Your generation across the year

Solar output is not flat. February and March are your strongest months; the two monsoons pull May and October down. We size systems against the annual total, not a sunny day.

Units generated (kWh)

Darker bars mark your four strongest months.

HOW WE CALCULATE

Every assumption, in the open

Most solar calculators hide their maths because flattering assumptions produce flattering numbers. Ours are listed below. If you think any of them are wrong for your property, tell us on the site visit and we will rerun it.

This is an estimate, not a quote. It cannot see your roof. Shading, roof condition, phase balance and your actual consumption pattern all move the real number — sometimes by a lot. The free site inspection is what turns this into a fixed price.

Tariff in force
Approved Tariff, effective from 11 May 2026 — PUCSL Annex-2 — Tariff Table for a 30 Day Billing Cycle
Sun hours
4.0 peak sun hours per day, island average
System losses
14% for inverter, cable, dust and temperature
Panel degradation
0.5% output loss per year
Tariff inflation
6% average annual increase
Net Plus feed-in rate
Rs 23.11 / unit
Panel rating
620W per panel, about 30 sq ft of roof each
System life
25 years, with one inverter replacement at year 12
Roof orientation
Assumes south-facing with no obstruction
Zero Export battery
Sized to carry your night-time usage, drained to 80% at most — 5 or 16 kWh units, whichever covers it at the lowest price
