GoodWe was founded in 2010 in Suzhou, China, and has grown into one of the largest solar inverter manufacturers in the world. The company has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2020, employs more than 6,000 people, over 1,000 of them in R&D, and has more than 100 GW of inverters installed in over 100 countries.
An inverter is the part of a solar system most likely to need attention during its life, so the company behind it matters as much as the spec sheet. GoodWe is rated Tier 1 by both BloombergNEF and S&P, and Wood Mackenzie has ranked it among the top three hybrid inverter suppliers globally. A listed manufacturer with that record is far more likely to still be supplying parts and firmware when your system is ten years old.
GoodWe covers the whole range we install: single-phase grid-tied inverters for a straightforward net metering or net accounting system, hybrid inverters that store solar in a battery for the evening and for power cuts, and three-phase models for larger homes and commercial roofs. Choose a hybrid model at the start and you can add storage later without replacing the inverter.
Every GoodWe inverter connects to SEMS, GoodWe's monitoring app, so you can see generation, consumption and battery status live on your phone. With your permission we can see the same data, which helps us spot a problem early. Warranty claims are handled by us, rather than by you and a factory in another country.
We don't publish a product catalogue or sell components separately. The exact model, rating and serial number for your system is named in your written quote after a free site inspection — sized to your bill, your roof and your phase.
